The groups for each tournament are formed based on the following rules:
1. According to the average result of the current BBF rankings
• Group A – over 180 average results
• Group B – from 165 to 180 average score
• Group C – below 165 average score, beginners and children.
2. A participant who has won 2 cups for the current season in group C or B moves to a higher group.
3. Each participant who is assigned to a group has the right to play in a higher group. To do this, he must state this before his first entry into the tournament.
4. Each participant may choose to play in a lower group by waiving the prize pool he or she would win if he or she wished to win a trophy or Masters points.
During all phases of the tournament, women and children under the age of 14 play with 8 points handicap, and those under 10 with 12 points.
Qualifications
During the qualifications, each participant can play any number of squads. Each squad consists of 6 games. Each participant plays on a pair of lanes in tournament mode. On every two games the lanes are changed two lanes on the right / ex: if you started the first two games on the 11th and 12th tracks, the second two you will play on the 13th and 14th tracks, etc./. The change of lanes is valid only for Group A and Group B, Group C play 6 games on the same pair of lanes. Before the start of each squad, all participants draw a card with the number of the lane on which they will start their game. All lanes are oiled before each series.
As a result of the qualifications, the highest result achieved in one squad is taken.
In case of a tie, the participant with more complete squads played is ranked first. In case of a new tie, the participant with a higher second squad is ranked first, etc.
For the Final steps of the tournament, the first participants from the qualifications are ranked as follows:
For Group A – 14 players
For Group B – 10 players
For Group C – 6 players
In addition to the Final steps of each group, four participants with the most entries qualify. In case of a tie, the participant with the higher qualifying result is taken.
In addition to the Final steps, two participants from Desperado qualify for each group. Desperado is held after the last 12 series. It is open to all participants who have played at least one series during the tournament. Before Desperado, the lanes are not oiled. It is not played in tournament mode.
Thus, 20 participants from Group A, 16 participants from Group B and 12 participants from Group C qualify for the Final steps.
The first 4 participants from each group qualify directly for Final step 2.
During the qualifications there will be a new discipline “Highest Squad”.
There will be a prize for the “Highest Squad” every two days of the six days of qualifying / Monday + Tuesday, Wednesday + Thursday, Friday + Saturday /. One winner from Group A and one from Group B with the highest score from the four squads played in the two days will be determined. Participants have the right to play an unlimited number of squads.
